Donna Harris, University of Cambridge, will be visiting us from February 15-April 30, 2011. Her dissertation focused on the impact of group identity, group size, and social norms on individual behavior within the context of multilateral group interactions. She has been investigating the influence of group membership on the underlying cognitive and neural processes that drive individual pro- and antisocial behavior. Specifically, her work examines whether humans are naturally inclined to conform to group behavior regardless of whether such behavior produces positive or negative outcomes.
